I'm very behind on #BabkaWatchesB5 so I'll just start back up with a post about the episode I just watched, and hopefully I'll find some time to fill them back in.
HOLY CRAP WHAT AN EPISODE.
If there's one thing Babylon 5 does the best, it's episodes of crossroads, and if there ever was a crossroad, this is it.
Everything about this episode was perfect. The characters' motivations, as they've been built up for more than a season, come to a head in a way that pushes the series to a completely new direction. And it does it so beautifully.
The Centauri Emperor lamenting that he never got to make any real choices mirrors Vir's admonition of Londo about Londo's opportunity for a choice.
G'Kar's vengeance turned to hope turned to rage turn to quiet resignation
Lord Refa's whole malevolent nonchalance about it all
Sheridan attempting to do what he can where he can, getting rebuffed and then accepted
And Kosh, showing up just where he's needed, but as mysterious as ever.
