@rowyn thank you for inviting us along for the Apothecaria ride. It was an adventure indeed. Although, being the metal fan I am, I'm sort of sorry it didn't end on 666. 😁 Who am I kidding? I'm sorry it ended at all. I look forward to reading future adventures of other characters. I've got one of your books waiting for me to be read.

I am curious how you played through the game. Did you play more than one turn before writing or did you write as you went? At what point did you start putting these wonderful pages with the artwork together? What an immense project!

@unpopulardaffodil It varied a fair bit. As I recall, with the first few pages, I'd write a page in G Docs, lay it out in ArtRage, illustrate it, and post it. After several weeks, I got far ahead in writing (probably 30 entries or more) without illustrations. Sometimes I had a large buffer (15+) of unposted and illustrated entries. At other times, I had no buffer: more than once in the last year, I wrote, illustrated, and posted an entry on the same day.

I posted an entry every day on a Discord server but sometimes forgot to post here. That's why I did double-entry days sometimes -- to keep Fedi in sync with Discord.

For play: I'd often draw cards for a handful of actions before writing, to visualize how the whole foraging cycle would go together. I never got very far ahead on play vs writing, however.

I also made notes about future plans that didn't fit into the current entry.
