My experience with a lot of co-op shooters typically boils down to dying to a mechanic I couldn't have seen coming and then watching the person who knows how the fight works do it.

Told the person I was playing with that I'd have gotten about as much interaction in the boss fights by watching a Let's Play on YouTube and that midnight was already later than I'd planned on staying up. Don't think I wanna play more of the game, tbh. Wandering around lost and confused and being useless is something I can do without a video game, thanks.

@KinkyKobolds this is how i feel joining my friend in co op shooters because he often understands everything and I understand so little. It's nice to learn the mechanics, but I feel pretty useless playing with him cause I always have to ask him for help.

When his friends join, it's even worse. their chemistry pretty much makes me useless

@Kiing Bingo. This is exactly how I felt playing Renmant II with a gaming buddy from college. If I could've let a bot take over, it wouldn't have made a meaningful difference. They were cruising through stuff and making it look easy.
