Jake in the desert

Apparently I didn't ONLY putz around and pound Salesforce into my brain in 2024, I actually made a few things too, aside from writing blog posts.

I finished https://deadscorpionranch.com in March, which is my home lab and has all my projects linked. I guess March is a productive time for me, judging by the past two years? I finished making https://oldtimeywebportal.neocities.org in March 2023. Wonder if March 2025 will be as productive.

I made one more weird project website I don't have up yet, but is fully done except for embedding one thing, or something. Will probably finish that this year.

I fully finished writing 4 songs last year, too- which I will hopefully record this year. Would be great to make a new EP. I met a local drummer/engineer, so we will see how that goes.

And then there's all the other weird ideas floating around in my head. 🤣

@alvan hahaa thank you man! I even had wifey glance at the 3rd project and she dug it, which was HUGE, she's very picky about things and she's whip-smart, too. That gave me some confidence. I dig the idea, it's super odd, but it's also cool. Will make sure to finish it. And yeah, those songs.. I'm excited. It was so weird, the universe is odd.

I was having a mattress removed the other day, and one of the guys says, do you play music? I guess because of the guitars in my house haha. And I was like yeah, I'm always looking for a drummer though, and someone who records- and this guy does BOTH! So we added each other on Instagram. Wild. Even if he's a HALF decent drummer. I don't need much. hahaha

Btw I checked the links you have shared. They all have great layouts. Old timey web portal for example! It is so simple, but the header, colors, placement are all *just* right. How do y'all do that 😂 I always struggle at making stuff look great.

@alvan 🤣 well thank you! I use some strange designs sometimes, I do like super simplistic stuff though. No JS if possible. Lots of divs sometimes, which is not the norm, I think people frown on em. And I don't care 😂🤣
