@Sustainable2050 Whenever I hear "Dutch tradition" I always think carbid kanon 🙂 As an engineer who has always been a bit of a pyro, I definitely support the idea of a ban on private fireworks.

@PatrickHerd @Sustainable2050 oh, that stuff will be hard to ban since it's an officially recognized tradition. Normal firework isn't.

But you know... Pretty much all incidents with fireworks is from already illegal fireworks. A ban is useless. What are you gonna do? Make it even more illegal?

@diondokter @Sustainable2050 Yeah, I'd definitely go after fireworks before carbid kanons: Kanon requires some technical knowledge and involves significantly more immediate personal risk, kind of works like a combination lock. Better to go after all fireworks as then regardless a person can be arrested for possession or ignition.
