@virtuallaughing I made it abundantly clear that I consider what happens in Gaza a genocide, and Netanjahu a war criminal.

Apparently, there seems to be a problem when I call Hamas an organization of war criminals that would perform a genocide if they had the means.

Netanjahu and Hamas are two different sides of the same hateful nationalistic fascistic coin. And I refuse to side with one of them.

@virtuallaughing You might also want to come up with an explanation of how the murder of 1.100 Jewish civilians is not collective punishment in the above sense. Go on, take your time, I'll wait.
@andreasdotorg @virtuallaughing International law does not consider the killing of occupying military members, as murder. So, you will have to adjust your death count there, because many of those killed by Hamas on Oct. 7 were active duty military. Also, many of the civilians killed, were killed by the IDF, or by non-Hamas armed resistance. Can you produce a more accurate count of how many deaths on October 7 were civilians killed illegally by an armed resistance, who are legally fighting against their own annihilation?

@bbhorne

"The final death toll from the attack is now thought to be 695 Israeli civilians, including 36 children, as well as 373 security forces and 71 foreigners, giving a total of 1,139."

Add sexual violence on top of that: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_and_gender-based_violence_in_the_7_October_Hamas-led_attack_on_Israel

The idea that any of that is covered by international law or morally right is ludicruous.

Israel social security data reveals true picture of Oct 7 deaths

A more precise picture of Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel has emerged from social security data, confirming the unprecedented scale of the violence but also challenging some initial testimonies.

@andreasdotorg I really admire your patience and your determination to try and settle this with arguments and facts. I just fear it might be a waste (as I’m sure you’re aware of ;) )
@andreasdotorg @bbhorne "The Bituah Leumi data does not distinguish between those killed by Hamas and civilians killed by Israeli forces in the fighting to retake control of southern Israel, an operation in which the army used shells and rockets on inhabited areas"

@bbhorne @andreasdotorg

You are missing basic facts in this discussion. Israel has left Gaza in 2005 including all settlements.

In 2007, Gaza was occupied by HAMAS. They made a military base out of it from where to attack Israel. They hold the Palestinians hostage.

The sad part is, that Israel is shooting the hostages one by one. To show, they can not be extorted.

You are aiming at the wrong side.

Israel will be punished later. By law, not by you.

@AdeptVeritatis @andreasdotorg the basic facts of the discussion: there was a hacking conference, and there were not enough talks about how to use tech to stop and disrupt the current genocide. People who went to the hacking conference, noticed the omission.

@bbhorne @andreasdotorg

A meta discussion about a discussion mean no discussion at all.

You are clearly not interested in the topic.

@AdeptVeritatis @andreasdotorg I am moderately interested in this hacking conference, yes, as I have previously attended talks about Palestine there, which were more radical than anything available this year.

@bbhorne @andreasdotorg

The question was, why beings don't want to discuss this conflict during congress.

Because people like YOU, derailing everything.
YOU keep the beings from discussing it.

@AdeptVeritatis @andreasdotorg I wasn't there, so you can't blame me for anything this year.

@bbhorne

Here. And now.

Don't hide behind all your bullshit. It just makes YOU stink.

@AdeptVeritatis Ok, crazy person. Have a nice night.

@bbhorne

At least now you know, why nobody wants to talk about Gaza during congress.

I wanted to make a point and you were very helpful to support me in this. Thanks. Wish you a nice night, too.

@AdeptVeritatis The reason why Germans don't want to talk about Gaza, is because their government supports the genocide of Palestinian people, and the Germans don't want to go against their government?
