@devalot none worked, getting stuck early at initrd, which is strange. I booted from live CD and rebuilt the bootloader, now everything works like before. Strange how it suddenly broke
Very weird. Sounds like your boot loader or maybe the entire boot partition was corrupted. Glad you got it working again.
