‘Where did my legs go?’
On the morning of September 2, Shaima al-Daqqi got up early to take her three-year-old and 22-month-old daughters to get the polio vaccine, which was being offered to people amid Israel’s war on Gaza.
The following day, Israel bombed their home in Deir el-Balah.
The two toddlers have been in the hospital for four months, battered and bleeding from the bombing, and had their legs amputated.
