In the last week Trump has referred to Canada as the 51st state and its Prime Minister as "Governor," has discussed a "soft invasion" into Mexico, and is now discussing taking over Panama.

@QasimRashid It has seemed mildly obvious to some Canadians to hypothesize, from at least the moment Pompeo was siding with Russia over Canada about our Northern Passage, that Trump seems to believe Putin will let him have North America so long as he behaves. For our oil in the short term, to control it and the profits, but in the longer term it’s for our water.
Edit: Ah, of course, Greenland again. Where “security” means “water”.
