So Google Photos shows up in my GDrive as a folder. I am getting notifications that I'm at 90+% usage in my account and have all my photos on my Synology.

I go into the folder, delete 5 of the year folders, empty trash.

Of course it's not that fucking easy.

An idiot like me would think "Great, I just deleted 12GB, problem should go away"

Except... now when I go into the photos directory, it tells me "This folder is no longer synced with Google Photos. Your photos are safe in Google Photos"

So now I have to delete thousands of photos via the Google Photos shitty interface.

Good thing they only let me delete 500 at a time, that's super fucking helpful.

So if anyone knows of a tool, preferably macos or linux, that will let me mass delete every photo in Google Photos in a specified date range, please _please_ let me know.
