Many years ago, I did a canal trip with friends up there, and went down (up?!) that Llangollen canal branch. Lovely place.

Yes. And a great community to live in. Plenty of oddballs, artists, lefties, LGBTQ and just old school decent people. Unlike here which is at best 'conservative'. I've been back twice by boat and several times by car to go to the International Eisteddfod. Going by boat again next year.
