My kid's school has a mandatory week of Winter sports camp with their class (most kids will be skiing, some kids – including mine – will be hiking, skating, and sledding). They left this morning on a coach to Austria.
This was the CO2 on the coach.

The other day I got another CO2 measurement from my kid who's away at Winter sports camp with school.
I was surprised at the low CO2 throughout the night (there's 4 kids sleeping in that room). Today I learned that the roommates said they should sleep with the window tilted open.
Kid also says all the other rooms have a kid who is sick. But theirs doesn't.
Fingers crossed they come back whole and hale.

So this is the complete CO2 (ppm) chart for my kid's week at Winter sports camp with ~60 kids (edit: closer to 80) from their school. Including the coach rides to and from Austria.
In their room of 4 kids they slept with the window open except for the last two nights when the teachers closed the windows and said it was too cold.

Day 4 of being home. This is what the molecular LAMP assay says. I'm kinda weirded out by what some of those lines are doing. Anybody wanna weigh in?

@fritzoids As it says, this is negative:

- the reaction seems to be slowed down, maybe too much "material", thus it is not the prettiest exponential control curve.

- a slight linear increase as seen there for the 6 detection curves is not a detection and thus not a problem.

- the amplification ran for 35 mins without finding anything.

@fritzoids That's what all my (negative) tests look like. What seems weird to you?

@alxndr

the fact that some of those other lines go up slightly. But apparently that is fine, as long as there is no linear growth.

@fritzoids
Yes, DNA binding isn't always 100% specific, so some signal below the threshold is totally fine and normal
