@pneumasolutions so what exactly does this entail? This is the first year I’ve been using your stuff, which by the way I love. I don’t mean to sound like an idiot, but I just don’t want to blow anything up. Somebody can’t remote in and fix the thing you blew up if the thing you blew up is the remote program.
@evilcookies98 @pneumasolutions You get access to all the services that rim has for up to 12 days for free. This includes giving help, access to the AI bots and other things.
@vol4life8657 @pneumasolutions gotcha. This product is literally a lifesaver and I have convinced several people to go get it. My computer stopped talking one day and someone had it fixed in the time it took me to go to the bathroom. I’ve had cases where people want me to NVDA remote them and I’m like can we use this instead? It’s a whole heck of a lot easier.
@evilcookies98 @pneumasolutions I couldn't agree more with you!
@vol4life8657 @pneumasolutions I even gave someone a file I had that they were interested in. Well, they were fixing my computer. They heard my clock and wanted it, so the session got flipped and that file got plugged into their folder. Also, can we talk for a minute about how I had to reboot and the thing just hooked right back in? in incredible. One question though. What happens if I need to help my sister who doesn’t use a screen reader? Yes she lives with me, but honestly, it would be a little easier for me to use my computer than to directly access hers because her keyboard layout is probably a lot different from mine as far as the locations of certain keys are concerned. She has a laptop and I don’t. Hers is also a gaming computer.
@evilcookies98 @vol4life8657 This is most likely a case where the remote accessibility module coudl be of help. If you are running NVDA and you connect to a computer that has no screen reader running, RIM automatically starts it accessibility module. You'll hear the happenings of the remote computer, but she won't hear or see the presence of a screen reader.
@vol4life8657 @pneumasolutions thank you so much.
@evilcookies98 @vol4life8657 The remote accessibility module doesn't mind if the computer is muted, given you would be hearing the happenings from that computer via your own screen reader's speech rather than through remote audio.
