Since the Great Lump of 2017, Iceland Gulls stretch a whole gamut of physical appearances. There are three currently recognized subspecies: Thayer’s, Kumlien’s, and Glaucoides. Thayer’s are the darkest birds, found furthest west - including Nevada in the winter. #GullOfTheDay #birds
