@TonyStark I doubt shareholders are going to passively accept that revenues are reduced due to this new regulation. Mgmt will find other ways to generate revenue to replace cancelled fees. If mgmt fails to do this, shareholders will vote with their feet. That's the "shareholder value" ethic in action.

@patrascan That’s the same logic libertarians use to argue against safety regulations.

Over in reality, these things actually work.

@TonyStark I can't think of an example where government mandated fee reductions or charges resulted in permanently reduced revenue. Companies always seem to invent new service fees, new ways of generating income that comply with the new rules.
