deeply concerning to propose banning face masks at protests.

with the accessibility of facial recognition technology, not to mention other surveillance technologies and methods, masks are crucial to the right to protest peacefully without facing recriminations or harassment.

@camwilson A touch of the police state there. Seems to be a trend. I note that being concerned about very real climate disaster enough to superglue yourself to something is now "extremism."
@camwilson Also we are still in a pandemic and if you're in a crowd, masking is the right thing to do!
@camwilson @neko
Good praxis would’ve been universal masking at protests, both to protect the vulnerable and to protect participant identities.
But people just won’t, because the left is as eugenically ableist as the right.
Reap as you sow, here.
@camwilson
I’ve been saying mask bans are about surveillance.
Do I get a cookie?
(I’d settle for anyone at all being willing to pay attention before it’s so obvious it’s slapping them in the face.)
