@JoeRess I can't think of a better end for a $800 emotional support robot for kids.

I propose "submarine parenting" as the opposite of helicopter parenting, where you try your best to stay away from your kids for long periods of time.

I'm sorry if I look rude, but that sounds like a really cursed product.

@ellnix @JoeRess I remember seeing the ads for it when it came out and thinking, you couldn't _pay_ me to leave my kid alone with that thing. I spent a lot of time as a kid talking to chatbots in an attempt to fake social connection, but ultimately it did me no favors... This seemed like the same idea with a shiny new coat of ✨AI✨ paint and a creepy little robot body. I feel sorry for the kids in this situation, but really, I sort of already did.
