Republicans have proposed this for decades and it hasn't happened because its fucking stupid...which means they'll probably get their way now that they have the Stable Genius leading the charge.
The postal service isn't a business intended to make money. It is a critical service provided to the people by the government.
People should quit expecting it to be profitable.

This is what republicans can't seem to understand about the government in general, not just the post office. It's not supposed to make a profit. The best you can hope for is to balance the budget...which the Democrats did in those horrible 8 years of peace and prosperity during the Clinton administration.
The only thing republican administrations ever accomplish is crashing the economy.
