My Favorite Bosses

@RL_Dane I've found that if you work with great people the job instantly becomes better. That's why I love my current job. The people there are (for the most part) all awesome.

@dm @ivan @orbitalmartian @twizzay @adamsdesk @joel @amin @RL_Dane @sotolf @joel @thedoctor @pixx I had the luck that not only my direct bosses always had good tech experience, if they weren’t techies themselves, but also the last project’s team lead and his boss (quite high up) have immense tech knowledge and knew how to handle me well, after a time of experimenting (tl;dr don’t put me into a scrumtology team). The boss-boss even liked to use me as a sounding board for his ideas about how to make the network even better, as well as some other things that, while I wouldn’t have the skill and expertise to implement myself, my opinion about (and even just the questions I posed back) were apparently well-liked.

Of course, after this, it’s hard to get anything. With me being kicked off as my employer turns fully toward AI crap, I now even lose the "fool’s liberties" I had at the job, and I have to find something new. Meh, sucks.

That really **does** suck.

I often wonder that I will ever find a place in I.T.

Perhaps I would be happiest doing a low-level tech help job at a college (although those jobs are not easy to get).
