The U.S. government radio station used for setting "atomic" clocks and watches is WWVB. It broadcasts a 60kHz carrier that encodes the time data.

Oh my. When we ask Google Search about WWVB, it confuses WWV, claiming WWVB broadcasts on the five WWV frequencies. This is -- how can I put it? -- simply DEAD WRONG.

Google is however correct when they say you should NEVER TRUST AI OVERVIEWS TO GIVE YOU ACCURATE ANSWERS!

@lauren I just Googled “WWVB frequencies” and the AI summary I got seems correct.
“The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) radio station WWVB broadcasts a digital time code at a frequency of 60 kilohertz (kHz). This low frequency signal is in the low frequency (LF) part of the radio spectrum.”
@misterprotocol AI summaries vary from try to try, that's only part of what makes them so incredibly dangerous.
