Neil Hargreavesone tip that I learned when OS X first came out that I suspect might be a little obscure but really useful, when command-tabbing through apps you can command-Q to quit the focussed app #macOS

There's another really nice thing with Cmd-Tab too ... once you've opened it and you maintain the Cmd key held down ... you can use the Trackpad/mouse pointer to select any app. You don't have to click/tap to choose one. Just hover over one, then release Cmd.
