Listeners who are seeking comfort from an album, much like a warm, soft blanket on a cold, damp day… if that’s you, then this album won’t offer you that. Which is perfect, because being affected by art is one of life’s brightest and beautiful things. And Elie Zoe’s debut LP is art, and it might make you uncomfortable. Yet, you should listen, because this is an album that can change you with its emotional heft. Profoundly change you.

Fans of early PJ Harvey, or Soccer Mommy will find a lot here to love; however, it’s not all dark and moody, although it isn’t glitzy powder puff pop. It’s art, as I said.

Read on the #unspunheroes blog and listen to Dead-End Tape on elie’s #Bandcamp. Perhaps buy a copy this Friday - or hunt down a copy of the vinyl, which is on its second repress. That should tell you all you need to know about this stunning record.
