In the US we unfortunately see a different situation unfolding right in front of our eyes:
A majority of the "oppressed" voted on November 5, 2024 for a President who ran on a campaign to terminate existing "freedoms". Not only words because he unsuccessfully tried it before on January 6, 2021.
I have no explanation for what is currently unfolding in the USA. The term "self inflicted gun shot wound" comes to my mind, only here happening on a national level.
I am completely stunned!
