Friends don’t let friends think LLM’s are a replacement for knowing what they hell they are doing.

So disappointed in many of you.

@grmpyprogrammer I tell my coworkers: never use an LLM for something you couldn't do or understand without it. It is more comparable to the auto-complete of an IDE, than as a replacement for your job (I've seen this gone wrong)
@mvriel @grmpyprogrammer And then there's "AI auto-complete"
Every time I give it a shot, the suggestions look good at first... until I realize they contain mistakes or are just plain wrong. So instead of making my job easier, it increases my cognitive load because I have to double-check if any of it even makes sense.

@weph @mvriel @grmpyprogrammer well, a bright side (if there's one), the "suggestions" will improve your knowledge about HOW NOT TO DO IT...
I use some LLM (my bad) in my daily routine to fill some gaps about "how to write polite emails"

Spoiler: I write better emails 😅
