1. What are your top three fandoms?

Definitely Pokemon. I played Blue Version as a kid and I've been a fan ever since. It's hard to choose a favorite game, but I distinctly remember having a ton of fun with gen 6 (XY and ORAS), and PLA rewired my brain.

Zelda is another series I grew up with. I've played almost every game, and all of them are great, but Majora's Mask is my absolute favorite. I'm also really fond of Skyward Sword. I don't make as much Zelda fanart as I do Pokemon, but I promise I'm just as insane about it.

I guess I'll go with Fire Emblem: 3 Houses for the 3rd fandom. I'm not as active in the fandom now, but I was obsessed for a year or two after I played the game. It was also the first time that I really stepped outside of my comfort zone to really interact with the fandom instead of just quietly observing from afar. I ended up creating a lot of fanart, experimenting and improving my art, and I even contributed to a few zines.

2. What are your top three blorbos?

I feel like this answer changes over time, but currently, the top 3 are Wallace, Brendan, and Volo (all from Pokemon).

Brendan is my little doll. I like to dress him up. And put him in Situations. Such a cute little guy. Definitely one of the best protag designs.

3. Are you a shipper? If yes: top three ships?

Yes! I love squishing the blorbos together!

Steven/Wallace/Brendan (pkmn), Volo/Akari (also pkmn), and Linhardt/Lysithea (FE3H)

4. What are your top three tropes?

Hurt/comfort. Characters being put in situations where they're weak and vulnerable, maybe to the point where they have to rely on another. Maybe they suffer a little, maybe a lot, but ultimately, they find comfort and healing. 11/10 trope. Always tasty.

Power imbalance, but in a "I could hurt you (or it's in my nature to hurt you), but I won't" kinda way. Like, monster/human. But also, mentor/student, certain age gap ships, villain/hostage, etc.

"I'll rewrite the universe for you." But in a destructively obsessive way. (I love you Homura. You did nothing wrong.)

5. What is your main role in fandom?

Artist!

6. Rec a fic! Why do you like it?

It's a modern AU volokari fic where everything is terrible and their relationship is mutually destructive, but at least they have each other. It's a sad fic that deals with some heavy topics, but it is so beautifully written, and it absolutely destroyed me when I first read it. Definitely check it out (but please mind the tags).

This author has so many amazing volokari fics and his range is insane. From wholesome to incredibly fucked up, he can do it all and he does it so well!! I highly recommend his fics for any volokari fans out there (especially if you like the more fucked up flavors of the ship).

I liked this fic so much that I drew fanart for it.

7. Rec a drawing! Why do you like it?

I think about this Majora's Mask art regularly and the 3rd picture has been my phone lockscreen for years. It's hard to explain, but their style fits really well with the atmosphere and overall feeling of this moment in the game. It's empty and peaceful, but there's this tension, these confusing and unpleasant emotions under the surface threatening to break free.

9. Tell us about a nice fan interaction you've had.

Not exactly a single interaction, but joining the volokari server was the best fandom experience I've ever had.

I remember finishing PLA and quickly losing my mind over Volo and getting consumed by volokari brainrot. I was constantly searching for volokari art (mostly on twitter at the time) and just devouring any scrap I could find. Eventually, I came across some people talking about a volokari server, and I hesitated to ask about it at first because social anxiety, but I was going to explode if I couldn't find someone to talk about volokari with, so I took the plunge.

And I'm so glad I joined the server! It was, and continues to be, the nicest and most supportive little fan community of funny, creative, and non-judgmental people I've ever met. Even though the PLA hype has died down, it's still a pretty active server. Love my volokari buddies 💕

10. What is your favorite part of being in fandom?

I feel like I kinda answered this in the previous question, but my favorite part is simply having the opportunity to connect with others over something you both love.
