@kurtseifried @joshbressers regarding WiFi, I'm a huge mikrotik fan. They have a great policy:

> The device has an operating system preinstalled and licensed. No separate purchase is necessary and the product is ready to use. The device includes free software updates for the life of the product or a minimum of 5 years starting from date of purchase.

So far they only stopped supporting some architecture that not longer exists, nee software also runs on old devices.

@kurtseifried @joshbressers out of the box their config is alright but it takes a while to learn. For consumer stuff I like AVM Fritz! stuff, but since they got recently sold in unsure about their future. Recently even discontinued models got updates and they are the most popular brand in Germany.
