I was in Tesco and there were posters up, printed by Tesco, expressly asking people to buy toys in the shop and donate them there for kids in need at Christmas.

I just thought, “We could cut out the middleman here and you could just do that, Tesco. You get the toys cheaper anyway. Because this just feels like you’re profiting from children’s poverty.”

@Nickiquote I do wonder with this and with the food bank collection in store if they get tax back on the charitable donations they made.
@jfrench I hope not, I mean you’d think HMRC would come down on it like a ton of bricks. But according to other people that has happened in other places.
