I was in Tesco and there were posters up, printed by Tesco, expressly asking people to buy toys in the shop and donate them there for kids in need at Christmas.

I just thought, “We could cut out the middleman here and you could just do that, Tesco. You get the toys cheaper anyway. Because this just feels like you’re profiting from children’s poverty.”

Tescos should absolutely be encouraged to give as much as possible to food banks.

But it is a good thing that they are making it easier for the rest of us to also give to food banks
