I love Nix so much, because you can just super easily contain an entire development environment in one file. This stuff is genuinely
- More flexible than docker
- Easier than docker
- More reliable than docker
- Faster than docker
- More powerful than docker
Why isn't literally everyone using Nix?
@kspatlas Yeah, NixOS is a different thing. I'm talking about Nix as a tool.
NixOS is amazing and I'm definitely hoping to learn more about it as a devops kinda deal, but running it as a daily driver? I can see why people would hate it whahaha
But nix for development environments? It's so amazing! It blows docker out of the water. No contest.
