ROSOLLI
💪
YOU
Need more rosolli in your life!
Trust me fren
srsly tho rosolli is essential at every chrimbus table
You eat a ton of stuff with zero fiber.
Eat your rosolli and u get fiber :3
And it's pink and delightful!!!!
I swear ppl always overlook the humble rosolli
But it's colorful! And you can have it with sauce if you like!
And it's cheap!
And it has many flavors going on :3
I like rosolli with apple, pickled beets, onion (preferably sweet onion), pickled cucumber and carrots!!
A Polish mutual once suggested adding peas, which I have not done yet, but I might do it this holiday season!
Never really seen Finns put peas in their rosolli, but I think it might work nicely :3
My grandmom likes her rosolli real saucy with beets, onion, apple and a bit of carrot. She doesn't include pickled cucumbers usually tho.
But I do bcuz I like them QwQ
I guess you could go for a sweet pickle there as opposed to a salty dill pickle too, but I feel the saltier version is the way to go. Pairs well with onion!!
Also, while I have never tried it myself, I have heard some actually roast their rosolli before serving.
So that is an avenue one might consider I think! :3
And another thing I haven't personally tried is including pickled herring and/or boiled eggs.
But honestly, while some folks do include those, I never felt rosolli needed that
Afterall, rosolli isn't the only thing at chrismen dinner :D
