The European Federation of Journalists, #EFJ, says starting January 20, it will discontinue posting content on the #ElonMusk-owned #SocialMedia platform #X.
In a statement on its website, EFJ says it can no longer ethically participate in a social network whose owner peddles #disinformation and #propaganda.
@iuculano doesn't mention where they will post though. probably bluesky i guess.
they should just all create a european fediverse server for news sites. they can save money by all sharing moderation costs and will legitimize the fediverse for normies.
Well, we are here, we are the good ones. We do not have to tell each other that people are leaving X. We should tell people at twitter.
I still have my X account, but I only post "leave X" messages there.
