Synthicator was originally launched on Substack. I don't like Substack for a number of reasons I don't want to get into now.

I shut that down and let the project languish for a bit as I was focused on other things.

Now I want to reincarnate it on Ghost, a platform I like a *lot* more and that is more suitable to the kind of thing I want to do which is a blog+newsletter hybrid.

The name Synthicator, it is a bit of word play, a portmanteau of the words Synth (as in synthesizer) and Syndicator as in syndication.

I love me a good bit of wordplay so I think it is a good name for a music blog/newsletter.

OK, after kicking the tires on a friend's Ghost install, I'm done with SubStack. The interface is so bloated and slow, I can't stand it. #SubStack
