Transphobia is harmful to cis people.
TERFs like Jowling Kowling don't actually care about your chromosomes or testosterone levels (heck, I highly doubt JK knows her own), they will just eyeball your femininity and chase you out of town if you don't fit into their standards.

@arina Absolutely.
Since I was a child in the late 1950s to the present day, I've watched Cis women and girls viciously policing the gender expression of other cis women and girls, their internalized misogyny on full display.

My mother complained about it, but then did it to others, scorning her mother as unfeminine for a distinguished career as an Army officer (WAC) during WWII, then as an executive in government service.

Cis women in the hundreds of millions, base their entire lives on conforming to white patriarchal ideals of femininity to a self destructive, even life threatening degree, without having their woman card revoked by both white and non-white men and women.

I object to the idea of #trans women being held to a higher standard than cis women.

We have the fundamental human right to be just as messy and complicated in life as those Assigned Female At Birth #AFAB.

@muiren that strong response from Meghann Burke was really great to read, JKR gets a free ride from the media despite how increasingly weird she gets, especially in Britain.

It's really bizarre to see Wizard lady doubling down again and again in response to any push back. Fame and Twitter rot the brain.

@muiren Thinking about it, JKR has been known to abuse plaintiff friendly libel laws in the UK to shut down criticism so no public figure would dare call her racist over here. Glad to see she can't pull that as easily abroad
