Good old Cory Doctorow. I've been a fan of his thinking for most of this century, and it's splendid to see a term he coined - enshittification - growing in use and correctly attributed.

But we're terribly lazy and stupid as a species, and I fear we'll do the same thing to this useful and specific term as we did to another: 'woke'.

Enshittification (like woke) means something quite specific. But I fear within a year it may simply be used (like woke) to mean 'something I don't like'.
