#nspoli Early voting opportunities have now ended. Election day is Tuesday. Overall: About 123,000 early ballots were cast. By comparison, in 2021 a total of about 420,000 ballots were cast in early voting + on election day. Early voting numbers compared to 2021 -- a pandemic election -- are down 13 per but up 49 per cent versus 2017.
@davidakin I fear it will be a low turnout election. The weather has been miserable and so are the politicians and the voters. I think many people think the result is a foregone conclusion.
@matthewguy @davidakin

@matthewguy @davidakin 140.9 = 15%. 122.8 = 12%.

That’s a difference of 18,000 people and election day hasn’t even arrived.

Don’t let X-axis misrepresent the actual math. It’ll be a pretty similar turnout.
@jdw @davidakin I hope you are right. The final percentages will be interesting as I suspect we have also increased the number of eligible voters too. My gut says it will be down - we shall see once the dust settles. My gut can be wrong (and sometimes a little too large).
@matthewguy @davidakin true. I think we’ve added couple of 10s of thousands of people since then. I’m not sure how many are eligible to vote, though (immigration, I mean).

We shall see in a few days!
