@davidho God, I hate this ableism and "moral superiority" of the cycle lobby.
@anne_twain @davidho It’s not ableist. My ADHD is severe enough that I can’t drive but I can cycle. My grandmother was the same because of narcolepsy, and a lack of transit or safe cycling infrastructure where she lived meant she was dependent on others her whole life to get to work, the grocery store, etc. Good cycling infra (like in NL) accommodates those who can’t cycle by allowing permitted microcars in bike lanes and having all kinds of accessible bikes. Car-dependent infra is ableist.
