Iโ€™m really trying hard to not dunk on here, but this sort of thing just needs calling out.

Because, with the greatest respect, what the fuck is this.

@gamingonlinux Oh, did that one end up bad? Haven't played any STALKER games, but they seem pretty beloved, so it's a shame if this one didn't turn out well. >.>

@evilroda @gamingonlinux they released an unfinished game. The performance is horrible too. Ive got a relatively top of the line PC and I can't hit a consistent fps. I locked to 60 and even then I still get dips into the 20 range.

Here's a funny oversight, they enabled raytracing by default. But put no toggle in game to turn it off๐Ÿ’€

@Ooloo @evilroda @gamingonlinux ah so anyone with an older GPU on Linux is boned XD
@paperreaper i don't really use linux much right now, but if it's anything like on windows you probably won't be playing on anything pre RTX era.
@Ooloo I own a Vega 64 currently, looking to buy Arc Battlemage when it releases. Not interested in stalker 2 but this is a worrying trend for GPU longevity. Mesa drivers have an RT translation layer built in but the performance sucks doodoo as you can probably imagine.
@paperreaper yeah i don't plan on upgrading my gpu for a long time. nobody should be required to upgrade each generation of card to play the latest games. it's dumb and wasteful.
