pressing Esc should not, say, redirect me to a login page or the homepage when I'm in the middle of typing a comment! There are other reasons I might type Esc!

And stop overriding cmd-L and other BASIC NAVIGATION KEYS for fuck's sake

@fluffy I hate the keyboard thing too. In Firefox you can disable it per site or globally.

Per site: Click the lock in the address bar. Connection secure. More info. Permissions. Override keyboard shortcuts.

Global: Go to about:config. Find permissions.default.shortcuts (default = 0). Change it to 2 for block. (1 = allow and 3 = prompt).
