Currently in the Student Showcase at #PyConAU. 5 minutes in to the first talk. The student speaking (Summer) is in Yr 12, talking about a tamagotchi inspired network scanning security tool.
This talk, talking about ethical hacking, plus a tech demo of the app/hardware tool, would give many speaking *pros* a run for their money.
The kids are alright.
Talk 4: A bot that automates the process of downloading Rocket League replay videos and uploading them to YouTube.
(Edit: The stack includes PyTesseract and @AlSweigart’s PyAutoGUI. And he’s learned the art of spending 10x the time automating a task 😆)
Next up: A command line tool for converting an SVG to use a pallete extracted from a source image.
Edit: The app includes regex scanning of color names in different formats and CIEL*A*B colorspace mapping.
Talk 6: Experiments with noise algorithms and fractal iterative point noise.
