In elementary school, the bathroom was a large room with stalls all around and a foot-activated-fountain-thingy in the middle to wash your hands.

It was perfectly fine and non-gendered.

Around here, most restaurants have 2+ fully enclosed single-user bathrooms instead of multiple stalls, so gendering those is especially useless.

It upsets me too but I don’t think being angry about it will change anything. I’d rather take a moment to learn a lesson from her because I’m not sure I’d be so publicly level headed about it.

She’s on a big stage and this is a big moment for a community of marginalized people. She needs to be strong, not just for herself, but the people who find a reflection of themselves in her. Her ability to stay calm in this silly storm is admirable.

What even is the layout and dispersement of restrooms in the Capitol building? I could find only fuzzy diagrams, and information on the Visitor’s areas, (which include some family restrooms, I’m glad to see) but I’m not that good at this.
