And cars are probably a lot more deadly than a radio...
And yet today you can buy a ham radio for less than $30 USD but in order to transmit you need a license that expects you to know all sorts of old school stuff about electronics that most people do not know.
I don't know what any of the shit in the engine of my car does but I've been driving for almost 40 years.
