Knowing (understanding) that a potential partner is hurting (dealing with trauma, on a bad rebound, ...) can help, but that's extremely context-dependent. And cursed-Rayaleth had the opposite of useful context.

Cassie has used found bones of unknown origin for reagents. (Including, IIRC, at least one that had previously been raised.) I can't see why his bones would be less acceptable. They might be particularly appropriate for curing harms he inflicted. (That's a question for the witches.)
Bounty hunters might be an issue, but I think his victims have dibs. (And at least some of them, the backup to enforce that.)
