I was too traumatized by the US election and the Sask election results to even look up the tiny local elections that I just voted in here.

But I finally did, and I'm happy to see the anti-queer candidate in my school subdivision lost!

Plus, my very nice neighbour who we buy straw from every year won our rural municipality ward election! ...With 40 votes. Not *by* 40 votes, *with* 40 votes.

Rural politics is weird.

@sundogplanets Our local elections went so much better than the presidential election! The last few years I have made an effort to research the local partisan and non-partisan elections very carefully. I used to just randomly pick city council members! 😬
