Correction, McNutt is NASEM President, not speaking for AAAS. Science editor Holden Thorpe had a slightly more pointed editorial after the election, saying scientists had to find better ways of protecting science from attacks. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adu4331

I am not sad to see her gone. Still subscribed to SM (perhaps because of nostalgia). But SM now is just a shadow of what the magazine was many years ago. And the way how they manage the digital subscription is just laughable!
