Both CNN and AP are now reporting that the spread in popular vote between Trump and Harris is less than 3 million, or about 2% (maybe lower soon).
That's a lower margin of victory than any other popular vote win since Richard Nixon.

Furthermore, the Democrats keep overperforming in House races. I won't be surprised if in the final reckoning, the GOP hardly shifted the balance of power at all.
The reason it's so important to push back on the bullshit around the Repub "mandate" is because "MAGA" is oversold. Trump remains a uniquely charismatic figure, but many voters consistently *don't actually want* what he's peddling.

And also the right-wing disinformation machine trapped a lot of people in news bubbles where they literally did not understand what's actually going on. Spoon-fed propaganda on a level that would make Bagdad Bob nod approvingly.
