@jeffjarvis Everyone has been yammering about the voters, but I have to say there have been 40 years of consolidation of power in the few and new amazingly powerful technological tools for information gathering, analysis and propaganda controlled by those few.
This is squarely on the powerful of this country, the masses will suffer as always.

As US media belongs in toto to the USA's oligarchical political rulers, it's more useful to read foreign media.

@jeffjarvis important distinction: The 'fuck you' refers to the disregard to democracy of Trump's nominations, not Der Spiegel's feelings towards the American electorate.
The latter would be tactless in my opinion, considering how devastated a huge part of the population is by the election results.
