Trump's nomination of Gaetz will be the clearest signal yet of whether GOP senators are ready to do his bidding on all sorts of issues.

If Trump can get 51 votes for Gaetz, he can get a Senate majority for just about anything — like cutting back Social Security.

@rbreich Isn't Trump talking about restoring SS for people who already get government pensions, though? Doesn't sound like a cutback, unless he proposed to pay for it by cutting back on the rest of us. He's certainly not gonna do away with the earnings cap.
