When I was upgrading my $700 system to what I will be riding out for a long time I had a friend who had a friend who was a big digital media guy who happened to also be a serious audiophile who knows a lot of the big names in that world. His personal system was a purist's dream. Nice vinyl setup to a fully analog prima luna tube integrated tube amp to long out of production high efficiency spactial audio open baffle speakers. These are the big name in open baffle but efficient enough for tubes.

They sound amazing but rarely go formalized and are big bucks. I’ve looked at a lot of open baffle speakers always wanting one someday. I don’t follow new products closely but I saw a Nee Record Day YouTube video and saw his new reference speaker is a handsome open baffle speaker.
I come to find out:
1) it’s made by the designer of the spacial audio speakers
2) it’s very efficient
3) it sounds incredible
4) it’s priced extremely reasonably for something of this quality.

Unfortunately I will not be getting these any time soon, because I don't have the space for these. these need to be minimum 2 feet from the wall and are incompatible with cats, but WOW are these weird and wonderful. Some day I may have the right space.

It’s an odd design. It’s a two way speaker with two large woofers and a tweeter that goes down to 1,000hz. They used this tweeter that goes pretty low so they could have a simpler crossover and be able to use super high end parts on the crossover. Three way would have doubled the complexity and cost. It’s a two way speaker that produces bass down to 23hz. You can easily go without a subwoofer, which is unusual for a two way speaker.
