Barry Schwartz 🫖Make a candle, burn a candle. In a candlestick one had already made from epoxy. The candle is scented red cedar. The pith of red cedar is often a beautiful bright purple when freshly cut. Alas, I believe it is an ephemeral hue.
(Aside: if you want a wood whose hue improves with age and sunlight, I believe the classic is cherry.)
