Today, we published the first draft of the General-Purpose Artificial Intelligence Code of Practice.

The Code will help implement the AI Act rules governing general-purpose AI models, including chatbots.

The draft, prepared by experts and informed by public feedback, will be discussed next week in the Code of Practice Plenary.

Independent experts present the first draft of the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice, which will be discussed with around 1000 stakeholders next week. The AI Office is facilitating relevant AI Act understanding with dedicated questions and answers for stakeholders.

@EUCommission It is inherent to AI, that it cannot be trustworthy and safe! Otherwise it would just be a script or bot.

@EUCommission I'm not a fan of AI hype nowadays, but Europe will get stuck in all these regulations. Running business these days is more and more hassle
